American Philatelic Building

Hallock’s American Philatelic Building I is arguably the most handsome public building in town (above and below). Built in 1970, the Society quickly outgrew it needs and has moved twice since. Other than for the entrance, all lower windows were narrow slits to prevent entry by thieves. The building uses limestone cladding and matches the nearby Episcopal church for which Phil designed a substantial educational wing. The building is near the Post Office on Fraser Street.
